Should UK politicians attend US Lockerbie hearing?

I don't believe it is appropriate for the US House to ask regarding the UK's investigative models and judgments. This is international incident at which their are channels more appropriate for a 'grilling' and wasting of US tax dollars. We are seperate nations, we trade, we cooperate in most things; but owe little explanation to the other.
