| http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sANengCGmLw Jim's update: Ah, Sunday! We love us some Lord's Day around here. As Missy and I discuss in today's video, we had an especially uplifting church service. I preached on one of my favorite topics: The blood of Christ and how the whole of scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, points to the Cross. In fact, the praise team offered a special arrangement of "At the Cross" for the offertory, and it was a big ol' blessing to me. Sunday afternoons are usually devoted to naps for Missy and me, and I've developed a habit of watching Westerns on TV... |

Jamie and Hannah have piano lessons on Saturday mornings, and Jamie threw in an art lesson too, just so we wouldnt get bored. While Jamie was painting, I took the rest of the kids to the park in Alexis, where I cant help but stop at the Cardinal Convenience store. Usually I just use the bathroom, then buy a bottle of V-8 and a bag of popcorn while Im there, but today I also took a lengthy... |

| The homosexual press has noticed. In an enlightening commentary on a homosexual activist blog, we get this observation: "But isn't it something how the issue of marriage equality is slowly starting to tear at the GOP. What a difference a few years make. In 2004, there was nary a Republican that could get behind the issue of marriage equality without looking like a Benedict Arnold. And now? The trend is shifting big time." And that's really the context needed to understand why WND took the stand it did with Ann Coulter upon her acceptance of the headliner position at GOProud's... |

| http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXqC4wiqVpA Jim's update: Sam's fourth birthday! My baby turns four. You know, he has another special day coming up: September 6th. That's the anniversary of his arrival in our home. Sam and Mercy (PeeWee) both came to us as foster children; social workers brought Mercy to us on October 4th, 2005, when she was six weeks old, and Sam arrived almost a year later, just three days after his birth. Both had been born drug-exposed; they were so frail and sickly. Missy and I watched and prayed over them, waiting and working for indications that they would grow stronger and... |

| New Tribes Mission Confronts '80s Sex-abuse Allegations At least 50 children were sexually and physically abused at a boarding school in Senegal, Africa, in the 1980s, according to a new report. The report estimates that 22 to 27 children whose parents were missionaries for Florida-based New Tribes Mission were sexually abused while 35 were physically and emotionally abused. New Tribes had retained Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment (GRACE) to conduct the study and acknowledged that there was abuse. The report says children were not allowed to complain about the school's conditions. "They were repeatedly told by those... |

John Vlazny On September 4, 2010 @ 12:00 am In The Bishops Speak | No Comments Over the years I have met many amazing women who are adamantly pro-life and truly make a difference for life. On the national scene I think of Gail Quinn, the Executive Director Emeritus of the USCCB Pro-Life Activities Committee and Helen Alvare, Law Professor at the George Mason School of Law. Both of them have labored tirelessly and spoken out courageously as advocates for the protection of human life from conception to natural death.... |
